Enclosure in Lounaghan

In rough hill pasture, on a steep N-facing slope overlooking the valley of the Roughty River. The remains of an arc of a stone wall (L 10m; Wth 0.5m; H 0.4m) NW-E, which protrude above the surface of the bog, suggest a possible enclosure. The area is completely overgrown with gorse bushes. Loose stones are scattered throughout, especially on the downslope. Two small circular sheepfolds (KE094-006---- and KE094-006001-) indicated on the 1895 OS 6-inch map, were located c. 45m to the W and c. 5m to the NW respectively.
