Enclosure in Knocknacreha

Marked as a small circular enclosure (diam. c. 37m) on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated at the crest of a S-facing slope. Slightly dished, grass-covered subcircular area (dims. 39m E-W; 35m N-S) defined by a slight scarp best preserved at SSE (H 0.7m). The entrance may have been at NNW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
