What is recorded here

Kilduff enclosure disappeared under a cutting road, leaving only a shallow stony ribbon to hint at its circle. That much is known. What is lost is the shape of daily life inside it: whether it held a farmhouse, a seasonal camp, a boundary marker or a forgotten neighbourly arrangement. The surviving bank resists easy judgement because it may belong to the old enclosure or to a later human hand. Both possibilities keep the place alive, since people have repeatedly shaped Kilduff and then let it fade.

There is little trace of the circular univallate enclosure marked here on the 1st edition of the OS map. The site is now bisected E-W by the road. The only visible feature is a low stony bank which runs 14m E-W about 6m N of the road. The bank is straight but both ends curve S for 1 to 2m. It is .5 to .6m high and c. 1m wide.
