In undulating countryside. A circular area (diam. c. 21m) defined by a low bank (Wth c. 2.7m, int. H c. 0.3m, ext. H c. 0.8m) from NW-NE with slight evidence of fosse at N. The S half of the site is incorporated into the townland boundary field fence. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
