Gortnanuv holds a broken ring where a townland boundary cuts through ancient pasture. The visible northern bank curves seventeen metres across the slope while the southern half has vanished beneath Glen or human forgetting. A ringfort waits one hundred and forty metres to the northwest, suggesting this was not an isolated marker but a neighbourhood of enclosed lives. The boundary line does not merely divide ownership; it divides memory, erasing half the shape that people once walked around.

On the W slope of a hillock in undulating pasture, bisected by a townland boundary with Glen. Ringfort (LI024-043----) located 140m to NW. N half of enclosure identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 69; AP 4/3681) as a semi-circular shaped area (approx. dims. 17m NE-SW x 12m NW-SE) delimited by a bank with etxernal fosse from W through N to NE and bisected by a townland boundary, no evidence of earthwork on S side of boundary.
