Enclosure in Gortlahard (glanarought By., Cappagh Ed)

In rough hill pasture, on a rise, on a gentle W-facing slope, in the valley of the Sheen River. A rectangular area (6.2m E-W; 2.2m N-S) defined by the remains of a stone wall (T 0.4m; H 0.2m) which protrudes above the surface of the bog (D 0.4m). The wall is covered in rushes. There is a fulacht fia (KE102-078004-) c. 60m to the NE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
