Enclosure in Gortlahard (glanarought By., Cappagh Ed)

In rough hill pasture, on a gentle W-facing slope in the valley of the Sheen River. A circular area (diam. 8m) defined by a ruinous drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.9m). Upright stones in the wall are set end-on W-NW and SE-S. Elsewhere the stones are grass covered. A break at S may indicate an entrance. There is a hut site (KE102-078006-) c. 20m to the NE. A relict field boundary (KE102-078008-) is c. 50m to the W. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
