Enclosure in Erry (armstrong)

Located on flat marshy land there was no surface evidence of any archaeological site in area marked on aerial photographs taken in 1973 (GSI N 557/6). Unlikely location for an archaeological site may have been a natural feature which showed up on the photograph. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
