Enclosure in Erneen

On heather-clad rough hill pasture, on a W-facing slope, overlooking a river valley. An oval area (9m E-W; 6.8m N-S) defined by a roughly constructed, collapsed drystone wall (T 0.5m; H 0.4m) which protrudes above the surface of the bog. Boulders are incorporated into the wall at E. The W portion of the interior is raised (H 0.5m) to compensate for the hillslope. There is a hut site (KE103-040007-) in the S sector. A relict field boundary (KE103-040001-) is c. 30m to the N.
