Enclosure in Doughill

In pasture, on the W slope of Knockbrack. A roughly circular area (12m E-W; 10.7m N-S) defined by a low earth and stone bank (Wth c. 2m; max. ext. H 0.95m) except ENE-ESE. The enclosing element contains large stones SSW-W and forms a low stone wall W-ENE. The entrance is at E. The interior is raised at W to create a level surface. There is a scattering of stones to the exterior at W. The enclosure is clearly visible on an aerial photograph (GSIAP, V 99-100) taken in 1973.
