What is recorded here

On a slight S-facing slope, in pasture, with good views from E-S-W, which are restricted elsewhere. Possible enclosure (LI021-157002-) lies 20m to W. Not depicted on OS historic mapping. Monument identified as an enclosure in the Adare Bypass Constraint Study (Ref. 31/A/4, p. 41). Monument surveyed by the ASI in 2000 and described as a slightly raised penannular-shaped area (diam. 17m) enclosed by the remains of a low bank (int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.7m; Wth 2.8m) visible from ESE-S-W-N-NNE, best preserved from S-SSW-SW. The interior has a slight S-facing slope, is dry and clear of overgrowth. Monument is visible as a pennanular-shaped tree-lined earthwork on Digital Globe orthophotos taken 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages taken 28/06/2018. See attached Google Earth orthoimage.
