What is recorded here

In pasture on the top of a ridge aligned E-W with wet ground to the E and SE and bordered by a conifer plantation to the N, with good views in all directions. Depicted as a curving field boundary on the 1840 and 1916 OS 6-inch maps. A subcircular enclosure (65m N-S; 63m E-W) defined by a drystone wall (H 1.8m; Wth 1.1m) from W to S (angled at NE) and by a scarp (H 0.5m) from S to W. A gap at E (Wth 8m) appears to be modern. A few large blocks in the foundation suggest it may be the remains of a cashel. The interior slopes down to the SE. It is bisected by a modern field wall and is overgrown along the perimeter.
