In low-lying, gently undulating pasture. Not depicted on OSi historic maps, although a small, roughly oval-shaped pond is depicted to the immediate NW, on the 1897 ed. OS 25-inch map. Identified by low-altitude oblique aerial photography taken by the ASI in 2003, as a substantial roughly circular-shaped bivallate cropmark (ASIAP 352, 21). Monument is visible as a very faint roughly circular-shaped cropmark (140m NW-SE; 120m NE-SW) on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012, on Digital Globe aerial orthophoto taken 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 25/03/2017.
