What is recorded here
Located on a gradual NNW-facing slope in undulating pastureland. Depicted on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map as a roughly circular area with an inner and outer circle. It is not indicated on the 1903 ed. and was presumably levelled in the intervening years. Not visible at ground level.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
