What is recorded here

In improved pasture, on a generally level area on upper edge of natural scarp overlooking flood plain of Multeen River to S. Oval area (dims. 38m N-S; 34m E-W) defined by remains of levelled bank (overall Wth 9.75m; Wth at top 3.25m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 2.45m) NW-ESE and by steep scarp (Wth 7.3m; H 3.2m) SE-NW. Exterior of scarp has been cut into and subsequently eroded by cattle around S-arc. Enclosing elements levelled out to a gentle scarp (Wth 5m; H 1m) ESE-SE where a gap (Wth c. 5m) allows access into interior. Whitethorn hedgerow around enclosing elements S-ESE. Fosse depicted on latest edition OS 6-inch map has been backfilled. Field boundary respects monument WSW-NE and is 5m from scarp/bank. Interior is dish-shaped and covered in frequent tall thistles.
