In boggy ground, 150m NE of Allihies mining complex (CO114-02202-). Subrectangular area (12m N-S; 8m NW-SE), enclosed to SE and SW by earthen bank (int. H 1.4m) and bounded by laneway to NE. Bank levelled to NW. In SW quadrant, c. 6m from bank, is circular stone-lined depression (diam 1.6m; D 0.6m), possibly remains of well. (O'Brien 1970, 24).
