What is recorded here

Embanked encosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Legvoy OR Gardenstown, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the summit of a NE-SW drumlin ridge and presents a circular grass and scrub-covered area about 53.5m N-S and 50m E-W. An overgrown earthen bank, wider and taller on the eastern side, defines most of the perimeter before reducing to a lower scarp elsewhere. A shallow outer fosse runs along part of the circuit, while field banks circumscribe the remaining edge and no visible entrance appears.
