What is recorded here

Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Moyvannan, County Roscommon, Ireland. It appears faintly as a D-shaped feature measuring about 55m NW-SE and 40m NE-SW on the 1837 Ordnance Survey map. The Athlone-Roscommon road cuts through its NE edge, while the main structure sits on a steep E-facing slope of Feamore Hill. The earthworks are no longer visible at ground level in the pasture.
Marked faintly as a D-shaped embanked enclosure (dims c. 55m NW-SE; c. 40m NE-SW) truncated by the NW-SE Athlone-Roscommon road (N 61) at NE on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a steep E-facing slope of Feamore Hill.
