Embanked enclosure

Located in a fairly level landscape with a slight slope down to the NE. This is a rectangular overgrown area (dims. c. 35m NE-SW; c. 30m NW-SE) defined by earthen banks (Wth 4-5m; int. H 0.9-1.5m; ext. H 2.6-3.2m) with external flat-bottomed moats (Wth of top 6.8-7m; D below exterior 0.5-1.6m). There is an entrance (Wth 1m) in the bank on the NE side, and there is a modern spoil bank outside the permeter at NW.
