Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Lackan (roscommon By., Kilgefin Ed), County Roscommon, Ireland. The circular grass-covered area measures about 63m across and sits on a slight south-facing slope at the lower west-facing slope of Slieve Bawn. A rounded earthen bank and outer fosse define the boundary, while two other raths lie within 220m to the north and south-southeast.
Marked as a large embanked enclosure (ext. dims c. 75m NE-SW; c. 55m NW-SE) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a slight S-facing slope at the lower W-facing slope of Slieve Bawn. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 62.8m N-S; 62.2m E-W) defined by a rounded earthen bank (Wth 3.3-5.2m; int. H 0.2-0.6m; ext. H 1.1-1.4m N-E to 2.2m at S) and hedge which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.9m) SW-NW, and an outer fosse (Wth of top 3.4-3.7m; Wth of base 1.6-1.8m; D 0.2-0.8m) which is visible NW-E-SSW but has been extended into a pond SE-SSW. There is no identifiable original entrance. Rath (RO029-127----) is c. 200m to the N and rath (RO029-129----) is c. 220m to the SSE.
