Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Lackan (roscommon By., Aughrim East Ed), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a circular grass-covered area 28m across at the E end of an ENE-WSW drumlin ridge. An earthen bank with bushes and two scarps define its boundary, while a recorded fosse from 1987 is no longer visible and no entrance remains apparent.
Towards the bottom of the S-facing slope of an ENE-WSW drumlin ridge, at the E end. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 28m N-S; 28m E-W) defined by an earthen bank with bushes (Wth 4m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 0.7m) SW-W, a scarp (H 0.7-1m) down to the interior NW-N and an external scarp (H 0.6-1.45m) NE-S. There is a record of a fosse (Wth 4-5.7m) in 1987 (SMR file) which is no longer visible, and there is no visible entrance. Rath (RO017-026----) is c. 160m to the NNW.
