Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Knockadangan, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the top of a southeast-facing hill slope and forms a circular grass-covered area measuring forty-one metres across. An earth and stone bank surrounds the centre while a broad fosse runs outside the main structure. The monument cuts through another rath located immediately to the southwest.
Towards the top of the SE-facing slope of a hill. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 41.3m NE-SW; c. 40m NW-SE) defined by an earth and stone bank with some bushes (Wth 5.7-8.4m; int. H 1.4m; ext. H 1.8-2m), and a fosse (Wth of top 8m; Wth of base 1.2m; ext. D 1.2m at NE) with a field bank on its outer lip W-N-SE. There is no identifiable original entrance, and this monument cuts rath (RO041-055002-), which is immediately to the SW.
