Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Grange (ballintober South By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. The 1837 Ordnance Survey 6-inch map marked a circular embanked enclosure with an external diameter of about 30m towards the bottom of the north-facing slope of an east-west ridge. Quarrying has since removed the visible remains at ground level.
Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 30m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated towards the bottom of the N-facing slope of an E-W ridge. It is not visible at ground level in an area with quarrying. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
