Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Gortnacrannagh, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a rise at the east end of a broad ridge and presents a circular grass-covered area measuring thirty-three point four metres north-south and thirty-two point three metres east-west. An earthen bank and shallow fosse define most of the perimeter, while a south-west scarp completes the boundary. Two entrances face north-west and north-east, though an east-west farm track now crosses the southern part.
On a rise at the E end of a broad E-W ridge. Circular grass-covered area (33.4m N-S; 32.3m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3-3.7m; int. H 0.2-0.3m; ext. H 0.9-1.1m) SW-N-ENE, with a fosse (Wth of top 5m; Wth of base 2.4m; D 0.1m) W-NNW. The perimeter is defined by a scarp (H 0.8m) S-SW, but cannot be traced elsewhere. There are entrances at NNW (Wth 2.4m) and NNE (Wth 3m), and an E-W farm track overlies the S part of the monument.
