What is recorded here

Marked as a circular embanked and wooded enclosure (ext. diam. c. 60m) with buildings on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a gentle S-facing slope at the W end of a low E-W drumlin ridge. Circular area (diam. 46m NE-SW) containing the ruins of a farmhouse and outbuildings which is defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.3m; int. H 1.4m; ext. H 1.6m) NE-E, a collapsed wall E-S, a low scarp (H 0.9m at SW) S-NW, and a stone wall NW-NE. A NNW-SSE lane crosses the W part of the site.
