What is recorded here

Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Cloonybrennan, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a south-facing slope as a circular overgrown area measuring thirty-two and a half metres north-west to south-east and thirty metres north-east to south-west. An earthen bank and flat-bottomed fosse define the north-west and north-east edges, while an overgrown scarp marks the south-east edge. A field wall circumscribes the monument from south-west through north to north-east, and no original entrance remains identifiable.

On a S-facing slope. Circular overgrown area (diam. 32.5m NW-SE; 30.4m NE-SW) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (at NW: Wth 4.6m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.2m) and a flat-bottomed fosse (at NW: Wth of base 3.3m; D 0.9m) NW-NE which is reduced to an overgrown scarp (at SE: H 0.3m) elsewhere.
