What is recorded here

On a shoulder of a S-facing slope. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 32.5m NNE-SSW; 29.3m WNW-ESE) defined by a flat-topped earth and stone bank (Wth of base 3-5m; Wth of top 0.7-0.9m; int. H 0.55-0.7m; ext. H 1-1.75m), with slight traces of an outer fosse (Wth of base 2.8m) W-NW. There is no identifiable original entrance and the perimeter is overlain by a stone wall S-W, while the interior is overlain by a NW-SE field wall SW of the centre. Rath (RO047-011001-) is c. 140m to the NE and rath (RO047-040002-) is c. 70m to the SW. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
