What is recorded here

Marked only on 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a subrectangular or D-shaped embanked enclosure (ext. dims c. 70m E-W; c. 55m N-S), but it is known locally as the site of a rath. It is situated at the S edge of a broad plateau but is not visible at ground level in a cereal crop. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
