Detached three-bay two-storey double-pile house, c.1825, with single-bay two-storey return to west. Refenestrated. Hipped and pitched double-pile (M-profile) slate roof with clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Ivy-clad unpainted roughcast wall to front (east) elevation with rendered course to first floor, rendered strips to corners, and unpainted rendered walls to remainder. Square-headed window openings with cut-limestone sills (forming part of course to first floor), and replacement uPVC casement windows. Segmental-headed door opening with replacement timber panelled door having fanlight. Set back from road in own grounds with wrought iron railings to forecourt, and landscaped grounds to site having random rubble stone boundary wall with sections of iron railings flanking gateway having pair of cut-stone cylindrical piers.

An appealing middle-size house of balanced appearance retaining the original form and massing together with some of the early character: however, the inappropriate replacement fittings to the openings have not had a positive impact on the external appearance of the composition. The house remains of additional importance in the locality for the historic connections with the Hely family of nearby Violet Hill (House) (12302018/KK-08-02-18).
