In the centre of a small woodland area that has been partially felled, 100m W of the townland boundary with Garrynoe and immediately W of an access road. Depicted as a circular-shaped enclosure on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. Shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a semi-circular-shaped area (dims. c. 40m N-S; 25m E-W) enclosed by a double field boundary from N-E-S, following the original enclosing fosse. Intersected at W by a field boundary running N-S with evidence for possible quarrying activity in SE quadrant as shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map. Tree-covered monument is not visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13. Outline of the monument is visible on Google Earth orthoimage taken on 01/04/2021 where the woodland area has been partially cleared between 2019-2021.
