Situated on a slight rise on very gradual NE-facing slope in a marshy area which has been reclaimed for pasture. Indicated on the 1st ed. (1843) OS 6-inch map as a roughly circular area defined by a dashed line. Not visible at ground level. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
