In wet pasture, on a floodplain 142m SW of the River Mahore, which also marks a townland boundary with Ballynamona. Monument is not depicted on OSi historic maps, although the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map shows a small rectangular-shaped structure at this location, which is at the NW edge of a road running NE-SW. Monument identified by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 268: AP 5/2048) as a circular-shaped earthwork. Upstanding monument is visible as a faint oval-shaped earthwork (13m NW-SE; 12m NE-SW) on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012, although it is not clearly visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-2013 or on Google Earth orthoimage taken 25/03/2017.
