Freestanding chimney, erected c. 1820. Random rubble stone tapering walls with put-lug holes, top missing.
This chimney stands as a reminder of the coal-mining activity which was once carried out in this area. Although now in a state of ruin, this structure retains evidence of its construction with its put-lug holes. When the coal shafts were in use this chimney would have formed an integral part of the coal extraction process.
