Detached three-bay two-storey gate lodge, built c.1820, currently vacant. Pitched slate roof having rendered eaves course, chimneystack and cast-iron rainwater goods. Lined-and-ruled rendered walls throughout. Square-headed window openings with tooled limestone sills, having raised render label mouldings to front (south) elevation and two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows. Square-headed door opening having timber battened door.

Set at the entrance to Dundaniel House, this gate lodge forms an interesting group of demesne relate structures with the main house, related outbuildings and walled garden. Though currently disused, it retains much of its historic fabric, such as timber sliding sash windows, limestone sills and lined-and-ruled render.
