This is surrounded by a flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of base 1.3m at W to 4m at E; D 0.5-1m) and an outer bank (at E: Wth 1.8m; H 0.8m). The entrance through the inner (Wth 3.8m) and central (Wth 4.5m) banks is at ESE. There is no evidence of the possible mound (RO008B001003-) (diam. c. 15m) marked just NW of the centre of the monument on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map (MA 63), nor of the possible entrance to a Man-made underground passage (RO008B001002-) in the bank at N noted by Gannon (1972). Earthwork (RO008B002----) is c. 70m to the ESE.
