Doon Castle stands in ruins in County Mayo, Ireland. Its walls have surrendered to time and weather, leaving behind a shadow of the structure that once commanded the land. The castle no longer holds guards or gold, but it still holds the shape of human ambition, frozen in stone and moss.

Doon Castle, located in County Clare, was built in the 13th century by the O'Briens, a prominent Gaelic Irish dynasty. It is remembered as a significant medieval stronghold and is associated with the historical conflict between the Gaelic Irish and the Anglo-Normans.
