Dolmen

On W side of River Laney valley. Monument destroyed between 1963 and 1966. Comprised ruined gallery, aligned approximately E-W and partly incorporated in field fence. N side exposed beneath large roofstone. Single stone to NW may have been outer walling. Portal dolmen; likely dates to the Neolithic or early Bronze Age. Its partial incorporation into a field fence and exposure of the north side suggest limited archaeological investigation, reducing understanding of its original form and regional significance.
