In pasture, c. 50m NW of ringfort (8573). Rectangular slab (L 1.1m; 1.4m x 0.3m), the upper surface of which is covered with cup-marks (diam c. 4-5cm). Standing stone (CO072-066----) c. 5.5m to E. Likely dating to the Neolithic or Bronze Age, the cupmarked stone may have had ritual or ceremonial significance, possibly linked to water or fertility symbolism. Its proximity to a ringfort suggests a possible continuity of sacred or symbolic use of the landscape.
