Cross in Ballypheasan

This stone was identified by N. Hoare and K. Bryers in July 2013 and had been recovered from an earlier clean-up of the graveyard attached to St. Comán’s Church (RO039-043006-). It is a sandstone boulder (dims 0.65m by 0.4m plus; H 0.37m) with a single rather straight-sided socket (dims of top 0.3m x 0.23m plus; D c. 0.06-0.09m) on top that has been damaged by the removal of one side of the socket.
