Crannog in Drumersnaw was a true island when the lake ran high, but water retreat turned it into a hidden clump of trees above reeds. It may have hosted kitchens, bedrooms or worship long before the lake withdrew, yet no building remains visible to prove which. The lake kept its secret longer than the people who lived beside it.

Oval-shaped island (dims. c. 45m E-W; 25m N-S) marked on OS 1836 and 1876 eds. The water-level in the lake has dropped considerably and the site is now visible only as a clump of trees and bushes rising above the reeds and rushes.
