Crannog in Doire Uí Fhríl is a submerged lake dwelling hidden beneath reeds in County Donegal. The circular shape suggests human hands built a home above water, yet the lake swallowed the proof. People may have lived there, fled storms or simply disappeared into the mud. The reeds still mark the boundary between memory and forgetting.

A circular area of reeds growing in the middle of Derryreel Lake might suggest a submerged crannog. It was not possible to inspect it more closely.
