Former Baile na Bó Fairy Fort — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

No amount of digging will bring back the lost Baile na Bó. It is gone. The land has taken it. What remains is a blank space where a fort should stand. That absence is the true shape of the place.

There is no trace of the single-ringed 'Fort' shown here on the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch maps as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m). It was situated on high ground with rough pasture and was likely to have been stone-built. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
