Crannog in Cornagran is a small, almost circular island of earth and stone sitting sixty metres from the shoreline in Lough Gowna, County Cavan. It remains unmarked on every official map, hiding in plain sight among reeds and water. People may have built it as a home, refuge or boundary marker, yet no name, date or owner has survived to confirm that choice. The lake keeps the crannog secret while the secret keeps the lake alive.
