What is recorded here

In W half of an earthwork (GA006-001----). Named on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map as 'Standing Stone' but on 3rd. ed. (1926) as 'Cloghmeel'. No visible surface trace survives. (Knight c. 1975, 110) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
