Cist in Knockardagur

Reference to a cist (L c. 1.5m, Wth c. 0.6m) with a paved floor and capstone and containing a small decorated vessel, the vessel was not preserved and no bones were noted (JRSAI 1970, 122). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
