What is recorded here

In the early decades of this century a number of features, described as 'stone graves', were uncovered beside the monument during peat-cutting (local information). No visible traces of these survive. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 121.
