Church in Rathkenny

Situated at the bottom of a N facing slope. A small rectangular enclosure (dims c. 25m NW-SE; c. 20m NE-SW) is believed locally to be a church site, but there is no visible evidence of a church, other than that the font, now in the porch at the old Roman Catholic church at Rathkenny (ME018- 002----) c. 900m to the W, is thought to have come from this location, but the font came from the medieval church site (ME012-041----). This may have been a Penal church. There is a well c. 20m to the E of the enclosure.
