Church in Moneycusker

Near N end of graveyard (CO082-021001-), to S of ruined C of I church (CO082-021004-). No visible surface trace of remains 'traced in the grass' by Brunicardi (1913, 44). This was remains of parish church of Kilmichael, which was in partial repair in 1615 but 'on the point of decay' in 1639 (ibid.); by 1700 described as 'built with stone and clay 50 feet long, towards the west, and which is divided by a wall. It looks like a house. The walls are standing uncovered' (ibid., 43). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
