What is recorded here
The OS Letters (O’Flanagan 1927, Vol. 2, 80) record that locally it was believed that ‘there was an old church called after St. Bridget’ in this townland. No other details were noted however, suggesting that it was no longer extant at that time (1839). Not located and no further information on it could be gleaned while surveying in the area in March 1992.
