Freestanding chimney, dated 1892, with octagonal shaft on red brick English Garden Wall bond square-profile base. Cut-limestone plaque inscribed: "SITE OF/LOCAL CREAMERY/FROM 1890s-1997".
This chimney, an elegant and eye-catching shaft of machine-made red brick, is the last surviving relic of the Athlacca Creamery complex: the site has recently (2001) been redeveloped as a housing estate known as "Dawn Court".
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
